Cylinders
We provide a large range of high security cylinder locks including euro profile cylinders, oval profile cylinders, rim cylinders and screw-in cylinders.
A euro cylinder is shaped like an enlarged key hole and used in conjunction with a euro mortice lock case. A euro cylinder forms an integral part of many types of door locks including UPVC doors and wooden doors. Euro cylinders are easy to replace as long as you know what type, size and security of cylinder you require.
The three types are key access from one side (single cylinder), key access from both sides (double cylinder) and double cylinder with thumbturn. We stock many of the leading brands including ASEC, Garrison and Union.
An oval cylinder lock is different from a euro cylinder lock in that it has an oval shape and is used in conjunction with an oval mortice lock case.
For both oval and euro profile locks, if you do happen to lose your keys or they are stolen, all you need to do is replace the cylinder itself. The lock case remains mortised into the door and a replacement cylinder can be fitted.
